Louisa Travers-Jones

Louisa Travers-Jones is a Law Clerk at Ramsden Family Law, where she supports the firm’s lawyers across a broad range of family law matters.

She is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts / Laws (Honours) at The University of Queensland, majoring in Economics and Linguistics.

In her role, Louisa assists lawyers with the preparation and management of documentation, including drafting correspondence, organising financial disclosure and preparing documents for court and negotiation.

She plays an active part in case management, helping to keep matters on track by monitoring deadlines, maintaining client files and coordinating the information lawyers need at each stage of a matter.

Louisa is often a first point of contact for the firm. She handles new enquiries, gathering key details from prospective clients and ensuring they are connected with the right lawyer promptly.

She also corresponds with existing clients throughout their matters, keeping them informed and helping them understand what is required of them at each step.

Through her work at Ramsden Family Law, Louisa is gaining valuable experience in complex property and parenting matters, including property settlements involving significant or complicated asset pools and parenting arrangements that require careful, child-focused resolution.

Before commencing her legal career, Louisa worked in optics as a dispenser. She credits her time in the medico retail sector with reinforcing her strong sense of empathy and her desire to work in a profession where she can make a meaningful and measurable difference in people’s lives.

Louisa was drawn to law by her strong sense of justice and her enjoyment of creative problem solving, qualities that are particularly valuable in family law, where every client’s circumstances are unique.

She brings a positive attitude, a people-first approach and excellent communication skills to her work.
