Maria Ryan is a Senior Associate with extensive knowledge in property law and wills and estates. After a dynamic career in teaching and real estate, Maria established herself as a property lawyer before following her passion into family law. During this time, she completed a Master of Laws focusing on Family Dispute Resolution and has since worked predominantly in family law.
After becoming a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and while continuing her legal practice, Maria spent several years mediating in the private sector and at Blacktown Family Relationships Centre as an FDRP. Maria’s knowledge of psychology, along with her experience in property law, estate law, negotiation, and conflict resolution, makes her highly skilled in all areas of family law.
Maria prioritises assisting clients by providing holistic resolutions that focus on the long-term interests and well-being of individuals, families, and children. Her experience in teaching and counselling, combined with her proficiency in multiple areas of law, allows her to fully understand and address the complexities arising from relationship breakdowns. Maria is a careful listener and an effective communicator, allowing her to quickly identify her clients’ needs. She offers clear and strategic advice, assisting clients in matters involving parenting, property, estate planning, and mediation.
