Partner Of The Year Awards 2021

Family Law Partner, Reece Ramsden, has been nominated as a finalist at the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards 2021. Reece has been shortlisted in the Less than 3 Years category for his observable and outstanding work not only within his Family Law department, but throughout the firm as a whole. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony being held in Sydney on 22^nd July 2021.

Reece has been a catalyst in the progression of Ramsden Family Law, as seen through the development of our Sydney CBD location and the launch of the department specific website. Pet custody has been one area of law Reece is proud to note, having originally written an article on the subject which then snowballed the traction for his expertise within this area. Since, Reece was asked to discuss his wealth of knowledge on the topic on Hamish Blake and Dave Hughes radio station, as well as been contacted by A Current Affair and Today Tonight to do a story on the topic. He has now acted on approximately 35 pet custody disputes in a very short period, allowing Ramsden Lawyers to now be considered as specialists in pet custody disputes (both at local court jurisdiction and family court jurisdiction).

Further, another area of law Reece specifically enjoys and is passionate about is in the scope of LGBTIQ family law. Recently he participated in the preparation and filming of an educational video with BenchTV on the topic of – ‘Same sex separations – who keeps the children’. This video is now used by other industry colleagues for CPD points and universities. Evidently, Reece’s accomplishments since being appointed Partner in January 2019 have been phenomenal in breadth and depth.

To further the accolades within Ramsden Lawyers, the firm has been recognised in several categories for the 2021 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Sydney on 20^th August 2021. We are pleased to announce submissions for finalist in the following:
