About the Award
This prestigious awards program is dedicated to recognising the outstanding individuals and businesses positively shaping the growth and development of Australia’s legal profession, providing them with the career-elevating exposure they deserve.
The finalist list, which was announced on Thursday, 11 June 2026, features over 330 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 36 submission-based categories.
Securing a place as a finalist is widely recognised as a remarkable achievement in the legal sector. It signifies the unwavering determination and commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the profession forward.
Winners will be announced at a black-tie gala at The Star, Sydney on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
Building a Team of Accredited Family Law Specialists
Entering the Australian legal market is not easy. With many boutique law firms operating across the country, particularly in family law, standing out requires more than experience. It requires trust and proven expertise.
In 2019, Partner Reece Ramsden set out with a clear vision: to build a team of trusted family lawyers with recognised expertise in complex family law matters. This included developing a team of Accredited Specialists in family law, giving clients access to highly experienced and well regarded family lawyers who could guide them through separation, divorce, parenting matters, property settlements and other family law issues with confidence.
Becoming an Accredited Specialist in family law requires solicitors to complete rigorous assessments that test their knowledge, skill and practical experience across a broad range of family law matters. Less than 5% of lawyers in Australia are Accredited. Reece became an Accredited Specialist in 2023 and has since supported numerous solicitors at the firm in obtaining their own specialist accreditation, including Partner Michelangelo Benedetti, who received his accreditation in family law through the Law Institute of Victoria in 2025.
Ramsden Family Law now has a team of seven (7) Family Law Accredited Specialists across our Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne offices. For a boutique law firm, this is a significant achievement and one we are genuinely proud of.
Having a specialist family law team benefits not only our clients but also the ongoing development of our solicitors, particularly junior lawyers. By working closely with Accredited Specialists in family law, our junior solicitors gain hands-on experience in complex matters across a wide range of family law issues.
