The Australian Law Awards is Australia’s most highly regarded awards program, recognizing excellence across the legal sector. For over two decades, these prestigious awards have spotlighted those striving to make the legal industry succeed. From managing partners and general counsel to barristers, legal scholars, and rising stars, this national awards program is the pinnacle event for recognising talent in the Australian legal industry.
The finalist list announced on Tuesday, 9 July 2024, features 360 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 39 submission-based categories. Securing a place as a finalist is widely recognised as a remarkable achievement in the legal industry, signifying the unwavering determination and commitment of individuals, teams, and firms playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.
A Night to Remember
Winners will be announced at a black-tie gala at The Star, Sydney on Friday, 30 August 2024. Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy congratulated all finalists: “The Australian Law Awards is the biggest and best awards program for legal professionals nationwide – bar none. Matthew Shepherd: A Leader in Family Law – Mediator/Arbitrator
Humbled by this recognition, Matthew Shepherd expressed his pride in being named a finalist. “Ramsden Family Law’s recognition for our excellent contribution to the legal industry reinforces the strength of our service and dedication to connecting with the community and engaging with clients,” he said.
Matthew has specialised in family law since 1990 and was accredited by the New South Wales Law Society in 1996 as a family law specialist. He is a highly experienced family law mediator, dispute resolution practitioner, arbitrator, and collaborative practitioner. While Matthew is an experienced court advocate, he helps most of his clients reach good agreements through dispute resolution processes other than court. He works with clients to consider not only the best legal and financial outcomes for their families but also the best dispute resolution process to achieve those outcomes.
