Katherine Evans is a Senior Associate providing legal advice and representation in all areas of law under the Family Law Act and related legislation. Katherine has worked exclusively in family law since her admission to practice in 2016. Prior to joining Ramsden Family Law in 2024, Katherine worked at a national and a boutique firm with our Special Counsel, Paul Lewis.
Katherine has completed a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) through the College of Law and has completed training in Collaborative Practice.
Katherine has experience in a wide range of family law matters including parenting issues, financial issues, divorce, spousal maintenance and child support. She is familiar with matters involving numerous financial structures including companies, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds, and matters involving financial agreements (before, during or after a de facto relationship or marriage) and binding child support agreements. She is experienced in working with matters where one or more of the following affect a parent or other family member – mental health issues, substance dependency, allegations of family violence, child abuse, and disability.
Whilst Katherine prefers to assist clients resolve their issues and make agreements via alternative dispute resolution processes, Katherine also has the skill set and experience to advocate for her clients’ interests and guide them through litigation to a final hearing if a Court needs to determine the outcome of a matter.
She adopts a resolution focused attitude and attempts to minimise the conflict experienced by clients and their family during and after family breakdown. Katherine’s ability to listen and passion for family law makes her particularly attuned to each client’s individual needs and helps them achieve their goals through clear and practical advice.
